Tassaduq Mufti, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Wednesday asked people to change their habits for making Anantnag better place for living.Mufti while addressing the gathering during the seminar titled ‘Solid Waste Management’ at Dak Bunglow Anantnag, organized by Urban Local Bodies and Municipal council Anantnag, said that he wants to protect the environment.“People should change their habits so that the Anantnag would be made a better place for living,” he said, according to KNS correspondent.“It is the responsibility of every individual to protect the environment and to make his area neat and clean. Sanitization in the areas would assist in providing the better facilities to the people,” he said.Meanwhile, Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Health and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash, who also attended the seminar, said the Municipal Committee and Municipal Council will be equipped with latest gadgets which would help them in sanitation to make the area better.The minister lauded the sweepers for playing their role in keeping the areas clean.Meanwhile, the other guests who attended the seminar including Dir Local Bbodies, Riyaz Ahmad Wani, Chief Executive Officer, Shabir Ahmad Wani. The officials also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the significance of cleanliness.The employees participated in the seminar and presented their ideas regarding sanitation. Manzoor Ahmad Pampori president employees union of Urban Local bodies presented the vote of thanks. Tasaduq Rashid was dais incharge during the function. (KNS)
