Reacting to the scrapping of By Elections to Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir today described it as a complete failure of both State & Centre Govt to create a conducive atmosphere in the valley. He also said both the Govts could not ensure conduct of elections citing the reason as deteriorating situation, this shows how the situation is grim and out of control.Commenting on the scrapping of By Elections, Mir stated that both State and Centre Govt have utterly failed to restore peace, the scrapping of Elections has exposed the Govt for not being able to create a peaceful atmosphere in the valley, this shows that the situation in valley is very serious, indicative of utter failure of the Govt on all fronts. This also shows that the ruling dispensation has accepted that it has miserably failed to handle the situation, which is more serious and anguishing.

He termed the scrapping of By Elections as a blot on the face of both State and Centre Govt, who have even failed to maintain Law and Order. Mir said PDP BJP have no moral right to remain in power, as the By Elections have proved that they are not even able to ensure safety of common people and create an environment of safety in the valley, rather the situation has turned from bad to worse due to the wrong policies adopted by both PDP BJP.The scrapping Elections pointing towards a very dangerous situation, he said the Centre Govt could not provide the security required for conduct of Elections and it adopted dilly dallying tactics to save the already dented image of PDP BJP Govt in the State, G.A. Mir said.Praising people of South Kashmir for their wholehearted and overwhelming support to him, G.A. Mir said that he will continue to remain indebted to people for supporting his joint Candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency. He also vowed to remain committed to cause of serving people to the best of his ability and continue to represent the urges and aspirations of every section of the people in true sense. (KNS)
