Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid today assured full protection to Langers operating during Shri Amarnathji Yatra, mostly in Baltal and Pahalgam base camps of the cave shrine at Kashmir Himalayas.Interacting with a delegation of Shri Amarnathji Baba Langer Organisations (SABLO), the DGP lauded the voluntary effort and said the synergy between them and the local facilitators of the pilgrimage has been unique.He said the police and the para-military forces will ensure secure atmosphere at the base camps as also along the yatra route.The delegation, comprised Mr Vijay Thakur, Mr Rajan Gupta, Mr Pawan Saboo, Mr Amar Goyal, Mr Tirlok Oberoi, Mr Rajesh Jain and Mr Neeraj Kumar raised various issues during their meeting with the DGP.Dr Vaid assured that adequate arrangements of security have been made for smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. He said the J&K police will ensure safety and security of Managements, Sevadhars and other workers working for the service of pilgrims in the Langers set up during the pilgrimage.The delegation assured full cooperation to the civil and police administration.
