Shrine Board provides Critical Care Ambulance to J&K Rajya Sainik Board

Continuing with its commitment of enhancing the welfare of society at large, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board provided a Critical Care Ambulance to the J&K Rajya Sainik Welfare Board for the use and benefit of ex-Servicemen and their families.Governor N. N. Vohra, who is Chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, handed over the keys of this Critical Care Ambulance to Col Prithviraj, representative of the Ex Serviceman Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Jammu, at a brief function held at the Raj Bhavan here today.This air-conditioned Critical Care Ambulance (BS-IV), costing Rs. 16 lakh, is fully fabricated, along with standard tools and accessories, has been placed at the disposal of ECHS Polyclinic Satwari Jammu to facilitate the timely shifting of seriously ailing patients to the hospital.On behalf of the ex-Serviceman community, Brig (Retd) Harcharan Singh, Secretary of J&K Rajya Sainik Board, who was also present in the function, thanked the Chairman of the Shrine Board for providing Critical Care Ambulance to the ECHS and lauded this gesture of the Board.

Other salient features of the Ambulance are the provision of doctor/attendant seat to attend to the patient, auto loader stretcher with headrest and belt, scoop stretcher and plastic type spine board stretcher, inbuilt PA system and siren to get passage, high intensity inspection lamp to facilitate examining of the patient and inverter back up of 600 watts capacity with additional battery for ensuring that all the critical equipment get power supply for longer duration. Pertinent to recall that the Shrine Board has presented this Ambulance after Governor received a request from Brig (Retd) Harcharan Singh, Secretary of J&K Rajya Sainik Board, Ambphalla, Jammu, seeking assistance from the Shrine Board for welfare of ex-Servicemen and their families which included providing of one Critical Care Ambulance for use of ex-Servicemen and their families.Among those present on the occasion were Lt. Gen Dev Raj Anbu, Commander Northern Command; Sh. Prabhu Dayal Meena, Union Secretary, Deptt. of ESM Welfare,  Mr. Umang Narula, Principal Secretary to the Governor; Mr. Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board; and Mr. Pankaj Gupta, Dy. CEO of the Shrine Board, Brig (Retd) Harcharan Singh, Secretary of J&K Rajya Sainik Board.
