After a stupendous response on both the days (22nd-23rd), Mudzilla 4x4 Autocross Challenge, organized by Kashmir Off Road in collaboration with J&K Tourism, had its grand finale today.The first of its kind mud autocross event to be held in the region, witnessed huge success and literally thunderous response from the participants as well as the audience.A number of 50 participants took this challenge of racing against time on a specially created mud track, which comprised slush pits, 80% inclines, mud and slush track with cars jumping as high as 7 feet against gravity.This event especially had a lot many ‘firsts’, like, first of its kind autocross challenge, first ever mud race and most of all, we got our very first Kashmiri ‘Female’ race driver. Sana Shadab Sarwar who is an interior designer, a full time mother and now we found our 9th fastest race driver in her. The already spellbound crowd welcomed her wholeheartedly and how she pursued her passion for race driving was there for all to see.
The list of the winners of this time based race is as follows:
1. Mir Jameel (1st position, Champion)
2. Kaiser Kawosa (1st runner up)
3. Waqaar Sarwar (2nd runner up)
The organisers, Kashmir Off Road have started this very first motorsport adventure outfit right here in Srinagar with an aim to promote motorsport and adventure sportin the state by providing a platform to our local motorsporting enthusiasts.
