The Vice Chairperson State Advisory Board for the development of Gujjars and Bakerwal, Choudhary Zaffar Ali, today met various deputations during his tour of Purmandal block and listened to their grievances.The VC visited Barah De, Khorhi Khad, Deon and Pacholi villages which have predominantly Scheduled Tribe population. The people projected their demands which were primarily related to water supply and road connectivity.The public demanded financial provisions for NABARD approved water supply project for Barah De and Karnal. They also demanded up gradation of Govt Middle school Kuili and Govt School Pachori.Responding to demands, Zaffar Ali directed BDO Purmandal to frame proposals for Bridle paths at Khorhi Khad. He also directed the BDO to make sure that liabilities if any, of Rural Development Department are timely cleared. He said that due to topographical difficulties these areas have lagged behind in development but assured locals that govt is giving topmost priority to Education, Health, Water supply, Power and Road sectors. He appealed to all villagers to attend their Gram Sabhas, thereby ensuring that works pertaining to their development needs are included in it. He said that focus should be made on including water schemes, paths and pond renovation for community welfare in the Gram Sabha Plan. He also urged them to avail mandays under MGNREGA so that no deserved beneficiary is left out.The Vice Chairman was accompanied by Director Tribal Affairs, M.S Choudhary and officials from Rural Development, Revenue, PHE and Auqaf.
