Additional Director General of Police (Hqrs) V K Singh, today delivered a lecture on “Anger and Stress Management” at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur here today.As many as 400 Police personnel including staff, BRTC (Lady Constables) trainees and other senior officers of SKPA Udhampur attended the programme.On the occasion, ADGP Singh who was the chief guest, highlighted the importance of anger and stress management,  and said that Anger and Stress is linked to our lives and the police personnel need to be sensitized about such an important issue which can help them both in their professional and personal lives. He further advised the participants to get rid of biases in them and ensure free and impartial policing.The main objective of the lecture was to acquaint the officers/officials as to how to manage anger and stress while performing their duties in difficult, stressful and adverse situations.ADGP sensitized the participants about the importance of developing a strong emotional quotient so that police officers could go about their job with compassion and respect for others.Singh also deliberated in detail on different aspects like self awareness, self regulation, and empathy and relationship management. DIG Udhampur Reasi Range Varinder Sharma, SSP Udhampur Shailendra Kumar Mishra, along with a number of senior police officers also attended the lecture. At the outset, Director S.K. Police Academy Udhampur Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, welcomed the chief guest and other senior officers who participated in the lecture.
