Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) incarcerated Zonal organizer, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri who is in jail from last six months has been shifted to police station Kothibagh after high court quashed his PSA recently, the spokesman said on Wednesday.According to the statement issued to KNS, the spokesman said that after PSA quash he was first shifted to JIC Jammu and then to police station Kralkhud from where he has been now shifted to Police Station Kothibagh.“Likewise another senior JKLF member Faisal Aslam khan who is in jail from last two years has been booked under yet another case and shifted to Srinagar central jail today,” the statement reads. He said that till now police booked him under 13 different FIR’s and when he got bail in each one of them, he was today booked under a fresh FIR and sent back to central jail. “Another JKLF member Irfan Khan who was arrested during recent election drama and has been booked under a harsh case is also languishing in Srinagar central jail,” he said.

The spokesman said that JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Zahoor Ahmad Parray of Hajin, Molvi Reyaz, Ashiq Hussain, Tanveer Ahmad Illahi, Nazir Ahmad Rather, Raies Ahmad and others are languishing in different jails under PSA.While condemning the prolonged incarceration of these JKLF leaders and members, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that “authorities are doing every possible tactic to prolong the incarceration of these inmates which is highly condemnable.” Condemning the fresh FIR against JKLF member Faisal Aslam Khan and sending him to Srinagar central jail, Malik said that “he has been bailed out thirteen times by court but police instead of releasing him every time slaps a fresh FIR on him and prolongs his incarceration.” JKLF chairman said that “these police tactics are glaring evidence of J&K being a police state where common people are facing the wrath of state sponsored terrorism.” (KNS)
