Expressing gratitude to people for strengthening the secular powers in the State by casting their vote against PDP-BJP Coalition in just concluded by-elections, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir Saturday said that people have rejected the communal agenda of PDP BJP coalition, responsible for the deteriorating situation in the valley.Commenting on the poll outcome of Srinagar Parliamentary constituency, Mir according to the statement issued to KNS, termed it as ‘the victory of secular and unifying forces in the State’, as the ruling dispensation (PDP BJP) backed by RSS is committed to implement their communal agenda in the State to meet their dirty political ends.Even the serious efforts were earlier made by PDP BJP to divide people on regional lines for the sake of securing votes, but today people have sent a clear message to communal and fascist forces, that they will not succeed in implementing their communal agenda in J&K State, rather they will be defeated miserably by the people. Describing the defeat of PDP as defeat of BJP RSS, Mir said people are scared of the PDP BJP coalition in the State, which is responsible for the restlessness among the people not only in Kashmir, but in other regions of the State, he added. He congratulated the people for defeating RSS backed PDP in the By Elections by exercising their franchise in favour of the Secular Forces, he terms it as victory of people.Meanwhile CLP Leader Nawang Rigzin Jora has asserted that the victory of INC NC Joint Candidate amounts to victory of secular forces in the State. He said people have already rejected the communal agenda of PDP BJP Coalition, but this By Elections has proved that the day is not far when both PDP BJP will vanish from the State due to the anti-people policies adopted by them.
