To promote cashless transactions and digital payment system a Digi Dhan Mela was organised by district administration  at Boys Higher Secondary School here today.MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar was the chief guest on the occasion. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik, ADDC Narinder Singh Bali, ACR Tariq Naik, Principals, various officers of other departments, bankers and locals attended the program.Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the main objective of the event was to educate people about the benefits of cashless transactions. He said that the focus of customer awareness campaign is to spread digital awareness thus facilitating people to use cashless payment options in their day to day transactions.Mr Parihar further said that the campaign will fulfill the objective of moving towards a cashless economy. With the introduction of cashless payments options like credit & Debit Cards, POS terminals, e-wallet options and Loyalty cards at Retail Outlets, the convenience lies in being cashless in today’s time, he added.Various digital payment solutions available to the general public were also showcased during the program.
