Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda Tuesday said the language used by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal was "cheap" and "not in good taste".Talking to media here during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana assembly, he said: "Kejriwal would be given an appropriate reply at an appropriate time."Hooda was referring to remarks made by the former Delhi chief minister during his rally in Rohtak - Hooda's home district - Sunday to launch AAP's national campaign for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections where he described Hooda as a property dealer and accused his government of colluding with the land mafia.
"Kejriwal has used such language just for gaining cheap publicity. Use of this kind of language is unbecoming for a person who had served as a chief minister," Hooda said.The Hooda government has been mired in several controversies regarding land deals and corruption scams in the last few years. Hooda has been chief minister since March 2005.The AAP has said that it will focus on Haryana for the April/May general elections and the Haryana assembly elections October this year after its good showing in the Delhi assembly elections recently.
