A policeman has been killed while 14 other personnel were injured in Srinagar’s Nowhatta when unidentified militants lobbed a grenade on them in the evening at the “withdrawal time” of the deployment.CRPF spokesman Rajesh Yadav told KNS that one policeman has been killed, while 11 to 14 security forces personnel were injured.The policeman has been identified as Shamus Din of Gurez teshil in Bandipora district.“Among the injured, 3 men are from CRPF while rest are policemen,” Yadav said.He said that the militants lobbed the grenade on the security personnel when they were withdrawing from the day’s deployment in Botagali of Nowhatta in Srinagar’s downtown this evening at 7.Yadav said that the injured CRPF men has been shifted to Army hospital in Badamibagh cantonment and “are out of danger”.A police official said that the injured policemen are being treated in the hospital.
