Commissioner Secretary to Govt, Tourism Department, Farooq Ahmed Shah Friday flagged off a contingent of 32 youth, comprising of boys and girls, in presence of M S Punoo President and Aamir Ali, Vice President, J&K Dragon Boat Association.The youth are going to participate in the 8th Dragon Boat National Championship, scheduled to be held in Guwahati Assam, from 4th to 6th April 2017.According to the statement issued to KNS, the championship is being organised by Dragon Boat Federation of India and Assam Dragon Boat Association.23 teams across India, including J&K are participating in the championship.The J&K team underwent 10 days special coaching camp in Dal Lake Srinagar, said Shabir Ahmad team Manager.The team is being supported by J&K Tourism Department.
