Stating that the results of upcoming Lok Sabha by elections will be disappointing for PDP, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President and INC NC Candidate G.A. Mir has said that PDP is losing both the seats, as the people of both South Kashmir and Central Kashmir have made up their mind to defeat this RSS backed Party (PDP) responsible for mass discontent and the crisis in the valley. He also said that ruling dispensation has proved disastrous for the State.
Addressing Senior Party workers of INC-NC at Anantnag today, G.A. Mir said that PDP can no longer befool people on sensitive issues like AFSPA, Dual Currency, safeguarding article 370, employment packages, flood relief package etc, as the promises made with people, from time to time, have not been fulfilled, the people have realized that they have been lured to vote on false slogans on the part of PDP.Mir said people are wise enough and know the political gimmicks of this party (PDP), he felt confident that this time people will give a befitting reply to ruling dispensation for adopting lackadaisical approach about the genuine concerns of the people.
Describing PDP as opportunist, Mir said that this Party by entering into alliance with BJP has enabled communal forces to make inroads in the State. J&K is a symbol of multiplicity and cultural diversity, but efforts are being made to divide the regions on religious lines merely for poll benefit by PDP BJP, but, at the same time, he felt confident that Congress Party will defeat the designs of PDP BJP by tooth and nail, Mir said.He said Congress Party is capable of defeating fascist and communal forces in the country as well as in the State and will not allow erosion of special status of the State. He said the irony is that PDP, which has been claiming to safeguard the special status of the State, is strategically eroding it to ‘satisfy its masters (BJP RSS), for the sake of remaining in power.Speaking on the occasion Former Minster Taj Mohi-u-Din appealed people of entire south Kashmir to defeat the designs of PDP BJP hell bent upon to divide people on religious and regional lines to serve their dirty political ends. He also appealed them (people) to vote for INC-NC Candidate G.A. Mir and ensure his victory with a thumping majority, as his (Mir’s) victory amounts to strengthening the secular and unifying forces in the State. (KNS)
