A delegation comprising of people hailing from hilly areas of Rajouri and Poonch Districts today met Senior BJP Leader and State Incharge Cells Sat Sharma (CA). They comprised the BJP leader of the problems they are facing and condemned the actions of both State and Central Government towards them.In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma said that people of Rajouri and Poonch have always suffered because of the acts of Congress Led Government in the Centre and State. Taking a dig at the Central Government, he said that Jammu-Poonch Railway was sanctioned in last year’s budget and after that it was declared as a National Project but in current years budget, nothing about the Railway line was mentioned and by giving the excuse of lack of funds, the Government is erring the public.
Raising the concern of the people living across the International Border Areas, the leader said that the people hailing from such areas should be allotted plots under some scheme at safe places as they are living at the utmost risk of their life and it has become quite difficult for them to manage their living under those circumstances. He also said that no compensation to the people have been sanctioned whose houses were destroyed in Shelling and Bombarding. Pitching the voice of youth hailing from Rajouri and Poonch, Sharma said that in the last four years, only 1500 posts for Constable has been sanctioned by the State Government which is a very low figure and moreover, no youth hailing from the hilly areas of Rajouri and Poonch was provided with the job which has ignored the youth of Rajouri and Poonch.
The Senior BJP leader also raised the concern for POJK Refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971 who have been protesting for their rights from the last so many years. Sat Sharma said that from the last 66 years these people have been deprived of their rights and now the time has come that they should be given everything with prestige and honor. Sharma also said that in coming days BJP will form the government under the leadership of Narendra Modi and the issue of POJK refugees will be raised in the Parliament and necessary measures will be taken by the Government in that regard.
