Punjab Government decides to upload school e-text books on the board’s website

Taking a big policy decision the Punjab government today decided to upload the e-text books for the coming academic session on the Punjab School Education Board’s website so that these can reach to the students at proper time.It was disclosed by Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary, Education Minister, Punjab in a press communiqué released here today after a high level meeting of the Punjab School Education Board. She said any student can download the e-text book after log in to the Board’s website and clicking the books folder icon. She said out of the total 350 text books prescribed for the government schools of the state at present 107 e-text books have been provided to the students in electronic form. She said that 22 more e-text books would be uploaded till April 15 and 17 more till the end of May.Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary the Punjab Government under the dynamic leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh is committed to fulfill all the promises made to the Public with regard to revamp the primary and secondary education of the state. She said that the instruction have been passed to the officers and senior educationist concerned to examine the content matter of the 350 text books prescribed for the school students and if they feel any need to alter the content of the text books then after doing the needful the printing of the text books be expedited so that students can get the books in the beginning of academic session.
