Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary today interacted with the residents of Bidipur, Dablehar, Rangpur, Maira, Khepad, Kotli Galabana and Agra Chak during a public grievance redressal camp in Suchetgarh.The public grievance camp was held with the objective of listening to the grievances of the common masses and reviewing the progress on the decisions taken in the last public meeting.The locals apprised the Minister about the problems being faced by them related to power supply, water supply, sanitation, healthcare and education. They also demanded up-gradation of transformers, replacement of old electricity cables, construction of lanes and drains.After listening to the demands and grievances of the people, the Minister assured them that their genuine concerns would be looked into and redressed in a time bound manner.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the government is working under a well-knit strategy to ensure equitable development of the State and special stress is being laid on development of rural and far-flung areas. Synergized efforts are also being made to ensure uplift of poor, women, youth, farmers and downtrodden sections of the society, he added.

He further informed the villagers that PHE, I&FC department is conducting the de-silting works of the canals to ensure that sufficient water can be provided to every field for irrigation purposes. He called upon the villagers to support the government in keeping the canals clean and desist from throwing waste material in the water bodies.Sham Choudhary asked them to come forward and take maximum benefits of the centrally and state sponsored schemes including Laadli Beti, State Marriage Assistance Scheme, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY) and others.
