Protesting agriculture casual labourers demand regularisation

Casual labourers of Agriculture Department continued their protest here in Srinagar against the delaying tactics of government in framing the policy for their regularization.Hundreds of casual labourers assembled here in Press Enclave Srinagar and chanted slogans in favour of their demands. The protesting Casual Labourers were carrying placards and banners seeking justice.While addressing the protesting casual labourers, state president Agriculture Casual Labours Union, Muhammad Yousuf Wani expressed great resentment over the delaying tactics of State Government to frame the policy for regularization of casual labourers.He said that the complete record of casual labourers is lying the Administrative department for regularization but till date nothing has been done. He urged upon the government that the casual labourers of the Agriculture Department deserves regularization as they are continuously drawing the wages on Muster sheets through Government Treasuries with effect from 1994.
