Jammu and Kashmir Police has initiated the process for recruitment of Constables for five IRP Battalions sanctioned by the Government. The event schedule for Physical tests in Jammu province has already been notified, which will be conducted from March 20, 2017 at concerned district headquarters.Chairman Police Recruitment Board (for Constables) in a communiqué has disclosed that the physical test for the candidates of Jammu district will be held from March 20 to 29, 2017 at Gulshan Ground Jammu. Accordingly candidates from district Samba and Udhampur will be put to physical tests from April 01 to 03, 2017 at District Police Lines Nud and DPL Udhampur respectively. Kathua and Reasi candidates have been asked to be available for the tests at their respective District Police Lines on April 04 to 08, 2017 and April 06 to 07, 2017 respectively.Similarly candidates from district Rajouri and Poonch will be put to physical tests at DPL Rajouri and Sports Stadium Poonch near Dak Bungalow from April 10 to 13, 2017 and April 11 to 13, 2017 respectively. Test of Candidates from district Kishtwar will be conducted at Chowgan Ground on April 16 &17, 2017. Accordingly the test of the candidates from district Doda and Ramban will be held at Sports Stadium Doda and DPL ground Chanderog Maitra from April 16 to 18, 2017 and April 20 to 21, 2017.The admit cards of eligible candidates have been uploaded on JK Police websitehttp://www.jkpolice.gov.in.
Timing, shift for the conduct of physical tests has been reflected in admit cards, the communiqué further adds.All the steps involved in the recruitment process are technology driven with no human intervention. The physical tests will be conducted by using RFID chips with computerized readings, results. All the events involved in the physical tests will be video-graphed and any candidate having any grievance with regard to his result shall be provided an opportunity to view his result in CCTV footage only on the day of test. The Physical Efficiency Tests, Physical Measurement Tests are qualifying in nature and will carry no marks. Only those candidates will be called for the next phase i.e written test, who qualify physical tests. The question paper for written test shall be of 100 marks containing 100 multiple choice questions and will be of 02 hours’ duration. The Question paper for the written test will be of Matric standard. The final selection list shall be framed strictly as per the marks obtained in written test.Entire process of recruitment will be completed with the aid of computerized tools with almost negligible human intervention.
