Local Bodies and Tourism and Cultural affairs Minister Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu today assumed charge of the office as Cabinet Minister at Punjab Civil Secretariat. Mr. Sidhu assumed charge in the presence of Irrigation and Power Minister Rana Gurjit Singh, Mr. Pargat Singh, Mr. Kuljit Singh Nagra, Raja Amarinder Singh Warring, Mr. Ramanjit Singh Sikki, Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Mr. Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, Mr. Devinder Singh Gubaya (all MLAs), Mrs. Navjot Kaur Sidhu and Mr. Ajit Inder Singh Moffer (both former MLAs), Additional Chief Secretary Mr. D.P.Reddy and Secretary Tourism and Culture affairs Mr. Husan Lal.After assuming the charge at Punjab Civil Secretariat Floor 3rd Room No 20 Mr. Sidhu interacted the media and said that public has given unprecedented mandate to the Congress party. He said that it’s now our prime duty to live up to the expectations of the people. He said that the vision of the new government under the dynamic leadership of AICC Vice President Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is to bring back smiles on the face of each one of Punjabis and regained lost glory of the vibrant Punjab.Speaking about the priorities of his department Mr. Sidhu said that the citizen centric services would be given in transparent manner. He said that the government would not work on vendetta politics instead development of the state in all spheres is over goal.
