Conglomerate of local militant outfits, United Jehad Council (UJC) Thursday said that participation in elections and ‘futile’ dialogue process tantamounts to ‘treason’ with the Kashmir nation. As per a statement to local news agency CNS, Syed Salahuddin, the UJC and Hizbul Mujhadeen chief during his address to high level meeting said that they have reliable inputs that Indian agencies and their agents have become active in making some of the people from Hurriyat leadership part and parcel of ‘futile’ dialogue process. “The martyrdom of Burhan Wani gave a momentum to the Kashmir Freedom Struggle and exposed the nefarious designs and oppressive policies of India across the world. To mislead the international community now and to give them impression that people of Kashmir believe in democratic process, India in now mulling to conduct Parliament elections in the State.” “To start a bilateral dialogue process with anti-Kashmir Modi Government will amount to treason and it will have negative impact on the ongoing Kashmir Freedom Struggle,” Salahuddin said and added that nobody will be allowed to compromise with the blood of the martyrs.

Let us foil the sinister designs of India and make people aware about the consequences of parliament elections in Valley. India has been using election ploy to mislead the world. We appeal people especially youth to run an election boycott campaign,” he said and warned vested interest elements to desist from anti-Movement activities. “These vested interest elements should not forget that people in Kashmir braved bullets and pellets for sake of Freedom Struggle,” he said.Syed Salahuddin also asked Pakistan to stop the process of making Gilgat-Baltistan as its fifth province. He said that such an act on part of Pakistan will have serious ramifications on Kashmir issue as well as Kashmir centric UN resolutions. “The Pakistan move will give India justification in occupying the parts of Kashmir. Instead of making Gilgat Baltistan a province, the problems of the people there should be addressed on priority basis and corruption free administration should be given to people there,” he said.“During the meeting tributes were paid to the three militants and a little girl killed in Kupwara,” the statement reads.
