Students of Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology excelled in the 20th Inder Kumar Gujral Punjab Technical University Inter College (M&W) Annual Athletics Meet held at Shaheed Udham Singh Group of Institutions, Tangori (Mohali) on 9th to 11th March, 2017.LCET student Jagdeep Singh, who broke the 12 years record in 800 meter race last year, again bagged a gold medal in 800 meter race. He breaks his own record by completing the race in 2 minutes and 01 second. He also won a gold medal in 400 meter race.Besides Jagdeep Singh, LCET other students Raj Bawa and Varinder Singh won silver medals in 200 meter race and Javelin Throw respectively. Raj Bawa, Jagdeep Singh, Harvir Singh & Lakhwinder Singh won bronze medals in 4X400 meter race. LCET Chairman Vijay Gupta, while honoring the students congratulated them for their remarkable achievement in the field of sports. He said sports give students an opportunity to come together; compete with each other and attain higher levels of excellence. Playing the game and playing well is what sports is all about, he said.
