District Development Commissioner, Ramban Mohammad Aijaz approved Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) Plan 2017-18 worth Rs. 6.49 crore for the district.Pertinently, PMKSY is a central scheme that aims at providing irrigation facilities to every village by converging ongoing irrigation schemes implemented by various departments. It will focus on ‘end-to-end solution’ in irrigation supply chain by implementing new programme in a “project mode”.The plan contains Rs.5.13 crore for Irrigation department, Rs.1.11 crore for Agriculture department besides Rs. 25 Lakh for Horticulture department.The DDC directed the officers to implement the approved plan in letter and spirit thereby improving water resources and agriculture assets in the district. He instructed the officers to take up irrigation works in Horticulture farming potential areas which will uplift the socio-economic condition of farmers of the district.CPO, Uttam Singh, ACD, Mohammad Jahangir, CAO, KK Sharma, Executive Engineer PHE and Irrigation, Hamesh Manchanda, ASCO, A.H.
