Legislator Javid Mustafa Mir along with District Development Commissioner Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad, today took a comprehensive review of various developmental projects being executed under different sectors in theChadoora Constituency of district Budgam.Works related to PHE, PDD, R&B, PMGSY, I&FC, Health, Rural Development, FCS&CA, SFC, Agriculture and Horticulture sectors in the constituency were reviewed threadbare during the meeting.The DDC briefed the meeting about various developmental works undertaken in the constituency.Speaking on the occasion, Legislator Mir urged the officers to do their best in ensuring better public delivery system to the people. He stressed the concerned to redouble their efforts for achieving the physical as well as financial targets and to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience.He urged for timely completion of various development works and schemes undertaken under R&B sector.
While reviewing works under PDD sector, the legislator stressed on timely completion of works being carried for improving Transmission and Distribution system in the constituency.It was informed that out of Constituency Development Fund, creation of 100KVA at Check I Hakim Singhpahroo, creation of 250 KVA at Dawatpora, creation of 100kva at Dangarpora , creation of 100kva at Kumar Mohalla Khanda (Magray Mohalla) and barbed wire scheme are under process.The meeting was also informed about progress of various works under PHE sector in the constituency. It was given out that Rs 1.20 crore Water Supply Scheme Dawlatpora Chadoora would be commissioned by the end of May 2017, which would benefit 1685 souls. Similarly, Rs 3.90 crore upgradation work of Water Supply Scheme of Chadoora would be completed by the end of next fiscal benefitting 17472 souls.
The meeting also took a holistic review of works under Rural Development Department with focus on Convergence and it was given out that under CDF Convergence as many as 20 works were taken up involving Rs 16.79 lakh from CDF and Rs 17.60 lakh from MGNREGA in the Chadoora constituency.Besides, under CDF out of 31 works undertaken 18 have been completed and 13 are undergoing at a total cost of Rs 54 lakh.Mir urged the officers of Agriculture and allied Departments to conduct various awareness programmes so that the public is able to avail benefit of various Government sponsored welfare schemes.He urged the officers of Education Department to play their role in elimination of open defecation and to ensure that toilet facilities are provided to students especially girl students.Among others, the meeting was attended by SE PDD, ACD Budgam, CPO and Xens of various Engineering Wings.
