Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today chaired the meeting of Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti of block Pouni and Reasi at District Hospital Reasi to take stock of the improvement of health infrastructure in the district.The meeting was attended by CMO Dr LD Bhagat, Superintendent DH Reasi Dr. RK Samyal, XENs, BMO Pouni Dr. Rashpal Singh, BMO Reasi Dr Tanveer, Tehsildars, CDPOs, ZEOs and other designated and nominated members of the governing body.The Minister who is also chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) released Rs 30000 from his CDF for strengthening Physiotherapy unit of district hospital Reasi and gave several on-spot approvals for purchasing routine items and equipment required in the hospital. He also directed Superintendent to enhance the honorarium of workers engaged on need basis.
For Primary Health Centers of Pouni, Laiter, and Ransoo, Minister approved purchase of emergency drugs, ECG machine, X-Ray machine, laboratory equipments, Foetal Doppler, Baby Warmers, BP Apparatus, ENT sets and other medical appliances.The Minister also approved construction of septic tanks, up-gradation of bathrooms, pits’ mesh and various lab reagents for PHC Bharak and instructed the concerned to complete their work as soon as possible.Likewise, similar types of appliances and instruments were approved by the Minister for health institutions of Block Reasi. Some issues of the medical aid centres were also discussed threadbare in the meeting. Ajay Nanda also passed instruction to the health officers for maintaining the cleanliness in and around the health institutions besides providing special care to the patients. He said that good percentage of diseases can be controlled by keeping environment green and clean.
