MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania today called on the Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar and discussed issues pertaining to road communication sector in Ramnagar assembly segment of district Udhampur.Mr Pathania sought the intervention of the Works Minister in expediting work on Basantgarh-Khaned road. He also called for expediting work on other road projects under PMGSY leading to Ponara, Lodhra, Raichak, Chigla Balota, Siameri and other unconnected villages.The Legislator further called for macadamized road upto Basantgarh and Dudu which can open up vistas of tourism development in the area. He also called for road connectivity upto Tamdyal in Pachound which is an area with exquisite beauty, tremendous landscape and tourism potential. He also called for macadamisation of Ramnagar to Johnu road and Ramnagar-Chowki and Ramnagar-Katwalt roads.The MLA informed the Minister that 25 roads under PMGSY have been sanctioned and tendered under Phase-10 for Ramnagar and work on all of these projects needs to be started on war-footing and completed at the earliest with special focus on quality control.He also demanded improvement of road from Kalwanta to RC Peak and immediate repair of PMGSY roads – Dessian to SK Ber, Manwal to Tajoor and Majalta to Peoni.He also called for construction of Conference Halls at Ramnagar and Mansar and all-weather connectivity from Dhar road for popular shrines of Sri Pingla Mata and Sri Chountara Mata.
