District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting with concerned officers at Ransoo to finalize arrangements for the three-day Maha Shivratri Mela at Shiv Khori Shrine, here today.DDC finalized the arrangements for various events to be organized during the festival days including dangal, water and power supply at langer sites and along track towards holy cave, locations of make shift toilets, parking of tourists vehicles, halting points, security scenario etc.The DDC asked the concerned departments to ensure requisite arrangements are put in place for convenience of the pilgrims. He also instructed the officers to involve maximum number of local volunteers for different assignments associated with Mela.Meanwhile, it was also informed in the meeting that tourist buses shall be halted at Kanda and mini-buses shall be pressed into service from Kanda to new bus stand at Ransoo and auto service from new bus stand to Hotel Tridev.The meeting was attended by Executive Officer Om Parkash, Tehsildar Pouni Munshi Ram, Dy SP Hq Mujib ur Rehman, Naib Tehsildar, XENs of PWD, PHE and PDD, Sports representatives, Prominent citizens, Local Shiv Mandli members, Managers and other staff member of the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board.
