Div Com reviews rehabilitation of left-out Chuntkul inhabitants

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmed Khan, today convened a meeting to review rehabilitation measures for left-out inhabitants of Chuntkul who live along the banks of River Jhelum from Dhobhi Ghat to Cement Bridge.Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Farooq Ahmed Lone, VC LAWDA, Officers of R&B, Tourism, SDA, Irrigation & Flood Control and other concerned Departments attended the meeting.The meeting also discussed rehabilitation process for left-out dislocated families of Pantha Chowk and Kadi Kadal fire victims.On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner sought suggestions from officers of concerned Departments to settle down the rehabilitation issues of all the left-out cases. He was informed about the measures underway for the settlement of these cases.The Div Com directed the concerned to expedite the rehabilitation process of all the identified families and undertake land identification process for their early settlement.
