District Development Commissioner Mohammed Harun chaired a meeting to review the functioning of health department here today.
During the meeting performance of ASHA mentoring monitoring group, grievances redressal committee and anti leprosy committee was reviewed in detail by the DDC.Chief Medical Officer apprised the DDC that awareness campaign regarding empowerment of girl child, 100 percent institutional delivery system and incentives for ASHA workers and complete ban on sex determination are some measures undertaken for successful implementation of NHM scheme in the district.It was further informed in the meeting that fifteen cases of Leprosy have been detected which have been placed under observation and necessary medicare. DDC directed the Chief Education Officer Poonch to organize programmes in schools for awareness on girl empowerment.The meeting among others was attended by officers of Health department, Social welfare department, ICDS, Education, RDD and PHE.
