Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology organized a workshop on Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan (VISAKA) in its campus. The purpose of this workshop was to aware the students and motivate them to use a digitally enabled cashless economic system for transfer of funds. During the workshop, students got to know about the different methods of cashless transactions for payment of fee, withdrawal of scholarship and other transactions. Students also took the pledge to educate people about the use of digital payment systems.VK Gupta ,Chairman, LCET while speaking on the occasion said that Youths hold a huge responsibility in creating a digital economy - free of corruption, black money and complete transparency. It will be an endeavor from our side to organize such workshops so as to reach out to the society for paperless economy. Chairman Gupta further said that youth plays a huge role in spreading the awareness about means to develop a digital economy, as there are people who still do not know how to make digital transactions or use e-wallets and youngsters can make them understand technology better.
