The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Ahmad Bhat today visited Kulgam town to take stock of the snow clearance and cleanliness measures undertaken by the administration.During the visit, the DC was accompanied by ADC, Tehsildar Kulgam, EO Municipality, AD FCS&CA and other district officers.DC interacted with the people who apprised him about the problems confronting them. The DC assured them that their issues and problems would be redressed in due course of time,Meanwhile, the DC directed Tehsildar and AD FCS&CA to conduct market checking to curb the black marketing, hoarding and food adulteration in the district. He directed the EO Municipality to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the town. Besides, he directed the EO Municipality to remove the snow at every nook and corner of the town.The DC also approved for the construction of lavatory block in the town and directed the EO Municipal Committee to start the construction work immediately at Old KMD Adda for the convenience of the people.
