DDC discusses modalities for launch of Leprosy awareness prog

District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting to discuss the modalities for the launch of leprosy awareness programme in the district slated to be held from January 30th to February 13th.The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, L.D. Bhagat, District Information Officer who is also designated member, officers from ICDS and Health department.

DDC informed that vigorous campaign will be launched by the Health department in all the villages of district to educate the people about symptoms, causes and cure of leprosy.DDC  stressed on house to house visits by ASHAs and AWWs, health camps by medical officers, regular health check-ups by RBSK teams, rallies through students, NCC cadets, scouts and guides for disseminating awareness among people.
