Speaker Legislative Assembly, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta, today visited Raipur Satwari, Chapri Mohalla, Narwal Pai and adjoining peripheries of Gandhi Nagar and convened a series of public grievances redressal camps.While interacting with the locals, the Speaker took stock of grievances of the people and asked the officers to look into these issues for an early redressal.The Speaker highlighted various welfare and development schemes of the government such as UJALA, Ujwala Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padao (BBBP), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Surakhsha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantra Awas Yojana (PMAY) and exhorted upon the people to take optimum benefit of these schemes for their socio-economic empowerment.He asked the officers to raise massive awareness among the people about the programmes of the government so that the needy are not deprived of these initiatives envisaging their betterment.

The locals highlighted their demands and problems which inter alia include repair of irrigation canal, up gradation of transformers, holding of Aadhar card camp in the area, old age and widow pensions, PHH ration cards etc.The Speaker assured the people that all their issues would be looked into for an early redressal.The Speaker directed the SDM, South and BDO, Satwari to organize an Aadhar Card camp besides preparing a list of eligible cases for pension and PHH Ration cards.Highlighting the development works, he said the MH road, CDA road, Airport road, Jeevan Nagar Muralian road along with other main roads of Gandhi Nagar constituency have been constructed with a cost of Rs. 50 crore during the last two years. Besides, Rs. 1.5 crore have been made available for up gradation of power infrastructure in Gandhi Nagar constituency.The Speaker was accompanied by SDM, South, Sonu Pargal, BDO, Satwari, A.K Khajuria, Xen, EM&RE, Sudhir Gupta, Vice Chairman, Cantonment Board, Lucky, Member Cantonment Board, Bharat Bhushan and other social activists of the area.
