AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said that AAP would be forming next government in Punjab and announced that Bikram Majithia infamous for his links with international drug dealers would be put in jail before April 15, 2017.Addressing a press conference here at Press Club, Kejriwal said that whole Punjab in voice was accusing Bikram Majithia for selling drugs in Punjab and his name had figured in the FIR related to drug cases. He was never interrogated by the Police is cases where his name had appeared. “He was named kingpin of the drug trade in Punjab by accused Jagdish Bhola and Jagjit Singh Chahal arrested by Police in synthetic drug racket.Kejriwal said that AAP government would not allow Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and members of his cabinet, facing corruption charges, to go scot free. “We will constitute a Special Investigating Team to probe the ill gotten wealth of Badal family and recover every single pie of money looted from Punjab”, he asserted. He said that Food Supply Minister Adesh Partap Singh Kairon and Agriculture Minister Tota Singh who were involved in food and pesticide scams would also be brought to book. He said that AAP government would also take steps to investigate Swiss accounts of Amarinder Singh.
Delhi Chief Minister said that PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh had back stabbed the people of Punjab by helping Badal in Lambi constituency. He said that Amarinder Singh had realized only 20 days before the elections that Badal was looting Punjab and did great injustice to the people of state. “AAP candidate Jarnail Singh would win in Lambi hands off and Badal has realized it. Badal had saved Capt Amarinder in the corruption cases and Amarinder is reciprocating it by dividing the anti-Badal votes.”, he alleged.Replying to a question, Kejriwal said that Navjot Sidhu was irrelevant in Punjab elections since he had lost his credibility in the eye of public. His presence would not impact the AAP prospects. He also stated that in Jalalabad Bhagwant Mann would defeat Sukhbir Badal with huge margin.Kejriwal further said that SAD,BJP and Congress were taking political advantage of river waters dispute and construction of SYL canal for the last over 30 years. He said that they were not interested to resolve the issue for vested interests.
“There is BJP government in Center, Haryana and Punjab. If Prime Minister Narender Modi desires, he can resolve the SYL canal issue within 5 minutes. Even Congress at one point of time had its governments in Punab, Haryana and in center but no steps were taken to settle the dispute”, he stated.Replying to media quaries on SYL canal, AAP Convener said that AAP government would not play politics on the issue. We will corrective steps at political and legal level and assured the people of Punjab that decision on sharing of river waters would be in Punjab’s favour. While pointing out that AAP is not responsible for creating the SYL problem, he said that SAD had acquired the land for the canal and Congress Prime Minister laid the foundation stone. He also said that Badal family had received prime land in Gurgaon for Sukhbir Badal’s hotel in lieu of giving nod for construction of canal.Kejriwal said that people of Punjab were voting to oust Badal family and this is the core issue in elections. He said that whosoever would try to divide the anti-Badal votes, he would be enemy of Punjab. In reply to a question, he said that it was unfortunate that Dharamvira Gandhi was working against the interests of Punjab. He appealed him to stand with the people and not to divide the opposition votes.Delhi Chief Minister said that people of Punjab would get rid of the ‘fear psychosis’ created by Badal family with the help of goons and mafias. He said that elections of February 4 would liberate Punjab from the clutches of Badal family.
