Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) today strongly condemned the merciless beating of a Sikh youth  of village Lodhimajra in Ropar district by the Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) workers when the former asked a question to Education Minister Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema about sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib. In a statement issued here today AAP state convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich said that Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema got provoked when the youth Harmeet Singh asked him why SAD-BJP government couldn’t arrest culprits of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.  It was unfortunate that Dr.Cheema who is contesting election from Ropar seat had instigated the Akali workers to thrash the youth. Harmeet Singh has also made a complaint to the district returning officer of Ropar.Waraich said that over 100 incidents of sacrilege in various parts of Punjab had hurt the sentiments of all those who believe in the Guru Granth Sahib. He said that it astonishing that a SAD which claims to be Panthic party and rules in Punjab had failed to arrest even a single culprit.

He said that sacrilege incidents were a deep rooted conspiracy hatched by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal to create communal disturbance in the state.AAP convener said that it was right of the people of Punjab to ask SAD leaders  who were the conspirators of desecration of holy Guru Granth Sahib and Quran Sharif and why police is not able to catch the culprits. He said that Sukhbir Badal had tried to involve AAP MLA in the Malerkotla sacrilege incident and his conspiracy was exposed by main accused Vijay Kumar of Vishav Hindu Parishad. He said that  AAP government would arrest and punish the real culprits of sacrilege of holy scriptures. He also reiterated that no AAP worker was involved in incidents of stone throwing on Sukhbir Badal and shoe hurled on Chief Minister due to anger of sacrilege cases. He further said that Sukhbir Badal was desperate to grab power at any cost due to his lust of make money. It is beyond anybody’s understanding what Sukhbir Badal would do with heaps of money his family is collecting for the last ten years.
