As a part of its annual road safety campaign in the city, Traffic Police Srinagar today organized a function to observed 28th ‘Road Safety Week’.SSP Traffic Police Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, said that as part of the week-long campaign the Department has planned various activities to spread awareness and information on road safety, including display of banners, screening of road-safety related clips, publishing road safety messages on various media platforms and public announcements through traffic police vehicles.The SSP asked the general public to provide feedback on better traffic regulatory measures on toll free helpline number (1800-180-7091) and post pictures in case of violations on Whatsapp numbers (9622882222, 9596000526). He said personnel of Traffic Police will intensify vigil on traffic violations such as over-speeding and unauthorized parking.The SSP said that Traffic Department has revisited the diversion plan and from Tuesday two-way traffic will ply on Bemina, Qamarwari and Batamaloo, Tengpora areas. However, Jehangir Chowk- Rambagh diversion plan will remain as it is, he added.
