Govt committed for development of Backward classes : Rashpal Verma

Vice Chairman, State Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Rashpal Verma today said the government is committed on ensuring development of backward classes in the state.Rashpal Verma said this while addressing a convention of Other Backward Classes organized at PWD Dak Bungalow, Rajouri.Vice Chairman also said that, in this regard, several flagship programmes and schemes have been launched which would ensure elevation of their socio-economic profile besides providing them requisite employment opportunities.While responding to the demands put forth by the locals, Rashpal said that government has already initiated steps for strengthening OBCs and efforts are being made to resolve genuine concerns of the community. He said that special focus would be given to redress issues raised by the representatives of the backward classes in a time bound manner.

He informed that focused schemes for education and employment generation are also being developed.Spelling out the broad parameters of government’s resolve to accelerate pace of developmental programmes in the state, Rashpal said that equitable growth is being ensured and various developmental initiatives have been undertaken in this regard to ensure all-round development of the state.Vice Chairman State Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People Kuldeep Raj Gupta also spoke on the occasion and assured the people that their grievances and issues would be redressed in a phased manner by taking them up with the concerned authorities.
