District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz today conducted tour of Boonbari areas of Tehsil Batote to take stock of the issues of the people .People of the area apprised him with various problems such as delay in completion of Satellite Market (Mandi), anomalies in enlisting of families in PHH category, depletion of water resources, maintenance of Boonbari road , functioning of Anganwadi centres, provision of doctors in Sher-e Kashmir Emergency Hospital Batote, , smooth distribution of ration etc.Responding to the projected demands DDC instructed XeN PWD for proposing further extension of the Batote- Boonbari road upto 3 km to connect other hamlets including popular Sanasar tourist destination besides improving the condition of existing road so that people of remote area do not face any inconvenience. Instructions were also given to the concerned departments for ensuring adequate water supply, ration supply, power and other essential services to the people.DDC also inspected various ongoing developmental works of Bridges, roads, water reservoirs etc in Boonbari and adjoining areas. He directed the concerned officers of RDD to ensure ongoing development works especially of bridges are expedited and also propose foot bridges on the important water crossings on the pattern of one constructed at Chakwa Nalla.The DDC asked tourism department to seek cooperation of all stakeholders and explore the Home Stay Facilities at Batote and also identify the trekking routes in village for promoting adventure tourism in the area.
