Days after National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah pledged support to Hurriyat, his son and NC working president Omar Abdullah Saturday made it clear that they aren’t with Hurriyat neither they support Hurriyat, but they want a dialogue between New Delhi and the Kashmiri separatists.Addressing a gathering at TRC ground Kupwara, Omar said the gun has destroyed the State of Jammu and Kashmir where playgrounds have been turned into graveyards. He said the situation in the last five month wasn’t conducive for the political activities, but they (NC) never tried to create trouble. He was indirectly hinting towards PDP, which had blamed NC for disrupting the situation.

“We put in our all efforts to restore the situation. We met Governor and also the President of India only to restore peace in the valley,” Omar, according to our KNS correspondent, said.“When I was the chief minister in 2010, Mehbooba told New Delhi to overthrow Omar and give her late father Mufti Muhammad Sayeed a chance.Mehbooba told Delhi that Mufti will help in bringing peace,” Omar allegedHe also said that the ruling party is lying over the number of arrests. “According to our knowledge, there are around 700 people who have been slapped with PSA and around 10,000 people have been arrested,” he said.He said the smooth working of administration has come to then halt as most of the ministers of the ruling dispensation are holidaying in London and US.
