The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister today interacted with media-persons at the residence of MLA Desraj Singh Dhugga at village Dhugga Kalan and said that he holds MLA Dhugga in very high esteem for the latter is a dedicated and selfless human being who has remained loyal to the party through thick and thin. He also said that the party (SAD) owes its rise to such selfless leaders like MLA Dhugga.MLA Dhugga on the occasion assured the Deputy Chief Minister that he would always abide by the orders of the party high command and would perform every task assigned with full zest and vigour.About the list of candidates released by the congress for assembly polls, the Deputy Chief Minister said that congress would suffer a disastrous defeat in the assembly polls and the SAD-BJP alliance would sweep the polls to serve the people of Punjab again. Regarding demonetisation, he said that the Union Finance Minister has assured him that all would be well within 2 weeks.Instilling confidence in the vast number of SAD workers present, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the opposition parties are sure to bite the dust in polls as they would not stand a chance in the face of massive developmental wave initiated by the SAD-BJP government. The workers also assured S. Badal to work with full earnestness and win all the seats falling in the district. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Anandita Mitra, SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal, SDM Dasuya Himanshu Agarwal, President Doaba zone and Chairman Zila Parishad Sarbjot Singh Sabi, Halqa Incharge Urmur Tanda Arvinder Singh Rasoolpur and others were also present.
