To ensure hassle-free distribution of online advertisements to the empanelled newspapers, the Department of Information and Public Relations today organized a day-long training camp here to familiarize newspaper representatives with the use of Online Advertisement Portal.During the training session, the newspaper representatives were acclimatized with various facets of the new system, where in a dedicated password has been provided to the newspapers to log on to online advertisement distribution portal (www.jkinformationadvt.in) and download the government advertisements allocated to them.Pertinently, the decision to shift to the online advertisement distribution system was announced by the Director Information and Public Relations, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary recently.The step is seen as a major initiative to maintain transparency and accountability in the distribution of government advertisements to empanelled newspapers and periodicals in the State.Joint Director Information Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain Mir, Deputy Director (PR) Farooq Ahmad Baba and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
