Kashmir :People should not lose hope : Yashwant Sinha

Urging upon people of Kashmir not to lose hope, former Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha who is leading a delegation in Kashmir Tuesday said that Kashmir is not an economic but a political problem. He said that Kashmir needs a permanent solution and the solution will come only through dialogue.Talking to reporters here after an interaction with a group of people, Sinha said that after interacting with common people of Kashmir, he fully realized and can say it with authority that people eagerly want resolution of Kashmir issue. “Even those people who have greater economic interests appealed us to get the Kashmir issue resolved. People talked to us amicably and we understand their sentiments and aspirations,” Sinha said.He said that Kashmir issue can be resolved through dialogue only. “I can’t say what will the outcome of our visit, but I assure people of Kashmir that everything will be alright and they need not to lose hope,” he said.Responding to a question, Sinha said that having failed in past there is no justification to stop trying and talking to the people of Kashmir. “As human being do we give up because we have failed in past? We need to talk and arrive at a solution,” he said. (CNS)
