National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said that Punjab would have been free from drugs and narcotics if PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh had not sought protection for Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Majithia from Sonia Gandhi. Addressing a series of massive rallies at three different places in Hoshairpur today, Kejriwal said instead protecting Punjab from drugs and narcotics, Captain Amarinder preferred to save his own nephew Majithia from the dragnet of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which has own party was vociferously demanding. “I have learnt that Captain went out of his way to protect Majithia from CBI probe by requesting Sonia Gandhi, who was UPA Chairperson at that time, not to act against his nephew”, Kejriwal said adding otherwise what prevented the Congress Government led by Dr Manmohan Singh at the centre from arresting Majithia and saving Punjab from the spread of drugs and narcotics. The collusion among Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal-Captain Amarinder Singh-Sukhbir Badal-Bikram Majithia became evident when the SAD-BJP government about a month back withdrawn all corruption cases against him to return the favour which Captain did to Akalis when UPA Government in power, Delhi CM said.
Kejriwal also said that Captain Amarinder Singh was a corrupt Chief Minister and amassed huge sums of money which he stashed in his family’s Swiss Bank accounts in the name of his wife Parneet Kaur and son Raninder Singh. “I have revealed the Swiss Bank account numbers of Parneet Kaur and Raninder Singh so many times in public rallies recently, but till date Amarinder has not contradicted even once that I was telling lie”, Kejriwal said adding that if Prime Minister Narindra Modi was indeed sincere in bringing black money, he would have immediately acted against Captain Amarinder and brought back the huge black money he (Captain) stashed in Swiss Bank accounts. The money which Captain has stashed in the Swiss bank accounts could have been used to build schools and universities, strengthen health system and initiate other developmental works in Punjab, Kejriwal said. Kejriwal said that in fact PM Modi has plundered the hard earned money by the farmers and poor people, who are now being forced to stand in long queues and wait for endless hours to withdraw their own legitimate money.“It is becoming apparently clear after more than one month of demonetisation that the decision was taken only to favour big business houses, who had run into bad debts worth lakhs and crores of rupees”, Kejriwal said adding that Modi has already waived off bad debts of big business houses worth Rs 1.14 lakh crores and now intended to use the public money also to write-off Rs 8 lakh crore bad debts of the corporate giants. On the demand of public present at the rally, Kejriwal was requested to sing his party’s popular song “Insaan ko Insaan se ho Bhaichara, yeh hi paigam hamara”.
