During a two day conference on Kashmir at New Delhi that was attended by Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and top Indian political and intelligence people, a Kashmir based politician claimed that the ruthless policies pursued by Government of India in Kashmir Valley has forced even an ‘Indian stooge’ like Farooq Abdullah to appeal his workers to follow separatist ideology.“Farooq Abdullah who rigged the 1987 elections in Jammu and Kashmir and acted as a stooge for India all through his life has now started talking high of separatism. It is just because of the Indian extremism and ruthless policies that New Delhi is pursuing in Kashmir,” former member Parliament and Chairman National Democratic Front Abdul Rashid Kabuli said while addressing a two days Kashmir conference at India International Centre in New Delhi.The conference was organized for senior diplomat OP Shah and it was attended senior Indian political leaders Parliamentarians, diplomats, civil society members, journalists and other sections of society. The conference was attended by people like Mani Shankar Iyer, A.S Dulat MM Ansari, Justice Bhim Sen Sacchar and Pakistan ambassador Abdul Basit and other senior Pak embassy officials.Kabuli blasted the Indian government for foregoing their commitments to Kashmiri people. He said that India has deprived people of Kashmir from their constitutional rights and it has violating human rights across Valley and Pir Pinjal region.Kabuli accused Indian successive government of committing multiple massacres in Kashmir.
“Let us call a spade a spade. No one can deny this fact that India has crossed all the limits of atrocities in Kashmir. Besides following the agenda of genocide of Kashmiri people, India has drastically eroded the political autonomy of the state of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.“Being a Kashmiri I am telling you all here with authority that right from 1947,we had never a people’s government in Jammu and Kashmir. Governments were elected by New Delhi and those who ran them were mere tool of the New Delhi who had no say and authority when it came to the implementation of any decision. Government of India used Jammu and Kashmir politicians as stooges and tools and used them at will. New Delhi usurped our freedom and our fundamental rights,” Kabuli said.Blaming New Delhi and its stooges for present mess in Kashmir, Kabuli according to news agency CNS said that Government of India has no option but to engage Pakistan. “You can say anything but the fact is that the after the murder of Burhan Wani, it were people of Kashmir who started uprising against India. The peace in Valley is deceptive. Lava is inside every Kashmiri that has a potential to get exploded any time,” he said and appealed the audience to use their influence and urge upon both the countries to resolve Kashmir issue through fruitful dialogue.
