Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri organized Fashionista – 16 to bring out the hidden talents of the students. Students from various schools and colleges of Chandigarh, Mohali, Patiala and other neighboring areas participated in this function. The event provided an excellent opportunity to the students to showcase their ideas on the Fashion of Tomorrow. In this function, the students displayed the sketches of their designs in three categories Ethnic, Western and Modern. The budding Fashion Design, Fashion Technology and other students were able to expose their ideas by displaying their creative   sketches.Anupreet Sidhu of Lakme Fashion Week was the Chief Judge. Seeing the quality of designs prepared by the participants,  Anupreet Sidhu said that these designers had a bright future. Discussing how these students could make a promising career, she explained to them the concept of Fusion Designs. The overall trophy was captured by Doon International Public School, Panchkula whereas they excel in Ethnic Category. GGMSS Sector 18, Chandigarh was winner of  Western Category. B.N.Khalsa College, Patiala & GGMSS Sector 8, Chandigarh were winner of Modern Category.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that such functions help in overall growth of a student’s personality. The self confidence of students increases multifold by taking part in such competitions. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General highlighted the relevance and the ever increasing demand of Fashion experts in the society. He congratulated all the participants for their excellent displays.
