Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Sunday said the ‘Heart of Asia Conference’ provides a golden opportunity to India and Pakistan to re-initiate the dialogue and reconciliation process and move towards resolution of “core issue of Kashmir”.“The Heart of Asia Conference at Amritsar provides yet another opportunity to the Indo-Pak leadership to the dialogue process and move ahead talking the Kashmiri leadership along on the resolution of Kashmir dispute,” Mirwaiz told KNS.He said the government of India should shun its “stubbornness” and result-oriented dialogue. “The five months of uprising in Kashmir is a referendum to New Delhi that the time has come to resolve the issue. We don’t want war. We want peace and that will come through dialogue only,” he said.He said the confrontation at the border would lead both countries nowhere and only aggravate the suffering of Kashmiri people.“Dialogue and engagement are the best means of resolving disputes. It is incumbent upon New Delhi to accept the reality, instead of engaging in altercations,” he added. (KNS)
