Lauding the Akali-BJP government, Punjab BJP president, Vijay Sampla today thanked Parkash Singh Badal for renovating the Ramtirath Temple. In his blog, Sampla said, “Appreciating our sentiments, the Punjab government has renovated the Ramtirath open-heartedly. A huge statue of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji has been erected here. The state government really deserves applause for restoring and preserving our heritage. This Temple would not only help in disseminating the philosophy of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji but would also act as a lighthouse to guide the destiny of our youth”.Sampla said that Bhagwan Valmiki Ji had propagated the concept of egalitarian society by composing the legendary epic ‘Ramayana'. It is the place where sage Valmiki's ashram stood and where Bhagwan Valmiki ji inseminated the ethos of equality and spirituality globally in line with the Principles of how an ideal man, ideal ruler and ideal people ought to be for the formation of an ideal state or society.Sampla wrote, “The teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji are inspiring for us even today. The Maharishi had given shelter and protection to Mata Sita after being deserted by Lord Rama. It was here at this sacred place that Mata Sita was blessed with Luv and Kush. Bhagwan Valmiki conducted them to highest levels in education in the realms of religious and social life besides intricacies of warfare. Saint Balmiki scripted many of his sacred manuscripts, including Ramayana, at this place”.
