AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has appealed people of Jammu not to see everything through communal prism and join hands with Kashmiris for the permanent resolution of Kashmir dispute, so that sufferings of people of state come to an end and durable peace returns in the sub continent.
Addressing an overcrowded press conference after visiting Jammu first time since High court had ordered Government not to restrict his movements in Jammu, Er. Rasheed asked communal forces to stop creating wedges between communities and regions and stop portraying themselves as swears of nationalism.In a statement issued to KNS, Er. Rasheed said “people of Jammu will have to understand that Kashmiris are not seeking any resolution to dispute on religious grounds but everybody treats J&K a political dispute and wants plebiscite on both sides of LOC including Gilgit and Baltistan, so Jammuties must come forward to support plebiscite. If claims of Prime Minister Modi that people of Pak and elsewhere want to become part of India and parliament resolution makes whole J&K India’s integral part, then Modi must come up with a road map how to implement parliament resolution and the only way to do that is to implement UN resolution.
Jammuties should feel pain of Kashmiris and must condemn use of pallets, bullets, maiming and tourchering and slapping draconian PSA’s on teen agers. Jammu based trade union leaders and employees association must answer what stopped them from raising their voice when twelve employees in Kashmir were terminated from services and teachers were reduced to the level of Chowkidars. It is moral duty of every responsible citizen of Jammu to ensure that communal politics of people like Mohan Bhagwat is defeated and communal harmony, is maintained in the state. People of Jammu need to realize that the claims of success of so called, surgical strikes have not only risked lives and property of people on both sides of LOC but people in border areas of J&K are the worst sufferers. It is just a propaganda that anyone who speaks about resolution of Kashmir dispute is a Pakistani Agent.” Er Rasheed also criticized Jail authorities in Jammu province for behaving inhumanly with the detunes and urged Divisional administration not to spread terror in a particular community only for the reason that they speak about resolving Kashmir dispute. He further added “ New Delhi needs to be told that whole of J&K is a disputed area and it can become anybodies integral part are jugular vein only after holding a free and fair plebiscite is held in entire state. While India is very keen to secure permanent seat in UN, it must respect the resolutions passed by same from time to time”.Replying to a question that why Jammuties did not picked up guns, Er. Rasheed said that if that was the case then why weapons were given to thousands of so called village defence committees. (KNS)
