The Punjab Education Minister, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema today handed over appointment letters to the 1500 social science teachers during an impressive ceremony here at the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). The minister also allotted choice station to the newly recruited teachers as per merit. Dr. Cheema said that with the handing over of appointment letters to these teachers the recruitment process of 6050 master cadre teachers has been successfully completed. Besides this, the recruitment process of 4500 and 2005 ETT teachers was already completed earlier.Divulging more, Dr. Cheema said that during the previous 9 and half years, the SAD-BJP government has recruited 84000 teachers. He also complimented all the officers and recruitment board to complete the entire process with transparency. He congratulated the DPI (Elementary Education) Mrs. Pankaj Sharma who superannuated today for exceptional services. The charge of DPI (Elementary Education) was given to Deputy Director Inderjit Singh.On the occasion, DPI (Elementary Education) Mrs. Pankaj Sharma, Director (Administration) Gurpreet Kaur Dhaliwal, SCERT Director Sukhdev Singh Kahlon, Secretary PSEB J.R. Mehrok, Deputy Director Education Department Inderjit Singh, Dharam Singh, Karamjit Singh, Dr. Ginni Duggal and ex- DPI (Elementary Education) Darshan Kaur were also present.
