Lashing out at state Government, National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister today said “attack on my vehicle at Nihal Singh Wala was an attempt to scare me away from Punjab by Badals, but they can never break my resolve to work for the welfare of Punjab, which has been ruined during the misrule of Akalis and Congress. Kejriwal squarely blamed Badal led SAD-BJP Government for deliberate breach in his security while he was on his way to address rally at Nihal Singh Wala on Tuesday. Addressing a massive gathering on the 4th days of his 11 days tour of Punjab, Kejriwal said even as he was Chief Minister of Delhi, his security was compromised in Punjab under the SAD-BJP government. “It was an attack to me by Badals to scare me away from Punjab”, Kejriwal said vowing that they (Badals) cannot break his resolve to work for welfare of Punjab, which is ruined by Akalis and Congress. “I myself saw a Police Officer indicating towards a group of 15 to 20 people, who came rushing towards me and started attacking my vehicle with canes and stokes” Kejriwal said while quipping – Can someone dares to do that with Badals in Punjab? “I think it was a deliberate attack”, he added.
Kejriwal was earlier also attacked near Ludhiana few months back when windshields of his vehicle was broken during the attack by group of people led by Akalis. However, Kejriwal while lambasting on Badals, said he did not require the security being provided by Badals. “I don’t need security by Badals, I have come here to sacrifice my life for the sake and cause of Punjab. Moreover, life and death is not in the hands of Badals and I will live on my life by the grace of god, though I am ready to sacrifice my life for the sake of Punjab and ready to fight till the last breath of my life for People”, he added. Delhi Chief Minister also criticised PM Modi for causing humongous inconvenience to the people of country “Modi should be ashamed of saying that people who are beneficiary of 2G Scam and Coal Scams were the only sufferers of demonetisation.”, he said. “On the other hand it is farmers, shopkeepers, women and government employees who have suffered the most and are forced to stand in the serpentine queues to withdrawn their own hard earned white money from banks”, Kejriwal said. Kejriwal said that Modi was only making fool of the people as demonetization drive has actually benefitted the business tycoons. “If Modi actually wants to bring black money out, then Badals, who have amassed biggest chunk of black money in Punjab and Amarinder Singh, who stashed black money in the Swiss bank should have been brought back.
National Convener of AAP said that he was deeply pained to hear about the attack on the renowned Preacher Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale. “If the religious preachers are openly attacked and are not safe in Punjab, how can Badal ensure safety and security to the common man?, he quipped while pointing out at deteriorated law & order situation in the state. He said SAD-BJP Government, which claimed to be a panthic Government has failed to nab culprits of series of sacrilege incidents of Guru Granth Sahib, Quran-e-Sharif and Bhagwat Gita. “Sometimes I suspect, how can the culprits of Bargari sacrilege incident could have been gone scot free, if Badals were not behind such incidents,” he added. “Once AAP government is formed in Punjab, we will nab and put all culprits, who have desecrated religious Granths, behind bars”, Kejriwal pledged. He said Captain Amarinder Singh and Badals are contesting Punjab assembly polls jointly. “I have learnt that many of the hoardings, which have been put up across Punjab have actually been funded by Badals”, Kejriwal said. Similarly, they have also joined hands to wave black flags at him, wherever he goes to address people, otherwise, he said he has never seen Akalis showing black flags to Congress leaders or vice versa.
